First Day - Congress Park - Saratoga

This statue is an icon of Saratoga Springs and has a place of honor in Congress Park.  It's called "The Spirit of Life" and  always captivates my interest.   I've tried in this image to present her in a different light.

However, the first day of January,2008 was a special day.  First night, the evening before was spectacular, but what made this first day special was that it snowed.

The snow put a fresh touch to everything and turned all of Congress Park into a fairyland. Normally the city workers would have cleared the walks, and salted the roadways. However, this first day was special and the new snow covered the city till nightfall.

This is an image looking at the snow covered Spirit of Life Statue in Congress Park.  The original watercolor is 13 X 19 inches unmated.

I am limiting this Gicleť Print run to a very modest quantity....a total of25. Each print is personally signed by me on the back and numbered on the front....making each print truly unique and one of a kind piece of artwork!

It would be a sophisticated piece to add to any fine art collection, or the perfect stand out work of art to start one!

Our Gicleť prints are high resolution, digital prints made with archival inks and papers. Gicleť (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a French term meaning "to spray", describing the digital printing process. Digital color control is more accurate, with greater opportunity for artistic interaction.

Gicleť prints are a recognized fine art print category like lithographs and serigraphs. Gicleť printing is considered by many to be the world's best technique for reproducing original works of art. Made with artists' materials, gicleť prints look and feel like the original art.

There is a difference between making an exact reproduction of an original painting and making a "digital creation". The cost and complexity of professionally produced gicleť prints often lead to compromises, with results that bear faint resemblance to the originals. We have taken the time to make sure every print we offer is as close to the original painting as possible.

Knowledgeable collectors have been amazed with the side-by-side comparisons, often unable to tell the original from the print. We feel our gicleť prints are among the finest anywhere.

All Limited Edition prints are signed and numbered, with certificates of authenticity. These prints are made with 100% archival D'Arches watercolor paper - the same paper I use to create the original.  The open prints are printed with a giclee process on acid free 110 lb paper.

There will only be 25 gicleť prints made on D'Arches paper at the original size for this edition.
